Setting everything up again!

Woot! Well after over a year of grieving over my SW tank the crashed and burned. I am doing everything again once more.

I have a 29 gal tank that will be for saltwater and a 20 that will be for my freshies. I also have a 15 gal tank that has plexiglass on the sides glued in with silicon. I dont know if it was for an overflow or not but its going to be taken out. I was nice enough to give my little brother my 10 gal but thats being used for a tarantula (that could have been my breeder tank) Lol! Anyway. On saturday or sunday I am off to the LFS with my $10 certificate to pic up new fish. When I acclimate them I will get some pics to show you the eye candy.

WOW... sounds like you are going to be very busy soon! I would imagine it is very time consuming to set up a SW tank, never mind also setting up the FW at the same time. Best of luck... dont burn yourself out so soon after getting back into the hobby! Keep us posted!

Lol. If my other 10 gallon was not cracked and housing a scorpion I would be using that one along with my 55 if the sealant would stop leaking. The 55 is housing quail now.

I was thinking of glofish but I really don't know if I want something unnatural in my tank. We had regular danios and they were fin nippers. I know for sure I will have cory's and a dwarf bristle nose pleco in the 20 gallon. I have to do a water change today since the water is cloudy. Probably from the drift wood. I added stress coat and calcium and rust remover to the water. Waiting for my $13.00 to be taken from paypal and put onto my debit cars. I also have a $10.00 certificate to the pet shop I am going to. That gives me $23.00 plus whatever I have on there now. I wonder if I should get mystery snails or not?

With the corys and the BN Pleco basically bottom level dwellers, you should look for something that swims at mid to top level. Have you tried the Black neon tetra's? They are not nippy and look real nice in a school. Or you can try a few Honey Gourami's? I stay away from snails.. no matter what kind they are lol.. so I could not advise you on them.
Have fun at the fish store when you are ready. If it were my tank I would look for a small school of top level peaceful fish to add with your BN and corys!

I was thinking some endlers or basically any kind of livebearer. I am also adding some red cherry shrimps and maybe a couple freshwater clams.

forgot to add: I was thinking of getting a couple croaking gourami's. I had 4 last time and I miss them. My brother killed my whole set up before the SW tank setup. Thats what you get when you go away for 2 weeks to visit your friends for spring vacation

pics of the tanks. Mind you they are working progress. the first one has brown water cause of the driftwood. I been doing daily water changes of 30% and its getting a bit clearer. the second one with the football is going to be my saltwater tank. The third one is going to be my overflow for my saltwater tank.

If you have a bucket you could soak the drift wood in there till the tannins run clear. Other than that, a giants themed salty tank looks cool

Lol. I put that football in there for my brother since its being sold on ebay. I myself am a NE pats fan. The driftwood is from my old freshwater tank. I thought all the tannins were gone but nope :P. I have another piece of driftwood in the basement I am going to try and find that used to be in my 55 gal.

I think I am changing my mind. I might use the 29 gallon as my freshwater and the 20 as a salt. I will just get a couple false perculas, a cleaner shrimp and a bubble tip anemone with a few turbo snails. That will be my small nano tank. watcha think?
