tail less whip scorpian

im thinking of getting a tail less whip scorpian soon

from what ive gathered thier mainly arboreal and need a high tank with 5-6" of substrate as they can be burrowers as well

this is where i start to get lost

how do you do heating and maintaining proper humidity?

Heat lamps/heat stones are a good start. Humidity can be maintained by dampening the substrate or putting a water dish in and keep a fairly tightly closed lid (a good idea with a potential climbing critter, anyway).

A heat lamp might evaporate any humidity you have if your cage is small. There are some adhesive heating pads that can be stuck to the bottom or back of a tank. Those are better for more small, humid environments. Spraying the enclosure with water and keeping damp substrate is usually all you can do. Thats what I do with my frog..it works pretty well

One point to make: humidity can't be evaporated, because humidity is evaporated water.
A good point, however, that a heat lamp can speed the escape of moisture from the enclosure (which is why I suggested keeping a tighter lid on it).
