Do you have a dog? or a largish cat? They both can be very dangerous animals. The insects just use venom since they are so small comapared to anything else and snakes use venom or their strength to kill their prey since they can't exactly hold onto it with arms or legs.

Ya, it's cute, but I would never have it as a pet. I would go with a spiderlike a pinked toed tarantula that all I would do is change water and add some food.

Lol! okay, okay i get the point guys! What i was getting at was the creepines and the deadly venom which these animals carry. Look at it this way, you are more likely to be harmed or more critically so, by a snake/scorpion/whatever than by a dog cat. I know however that lotsa ppl keep them and love it too!

Ya tarantulas are most commonly kept, they have plenty on the local auction site but they go for big bucks!

Of course, dog cats don't exist, so it is easier to be harmed by something that exists than by something that doesn't. lol But I know what you are getting at.
