So, this fish, his name is Tangerine. When we bought him, just over two years ago, I did it on impulse, he was adorable and his manorisms unique.
LFS said he was an assessor. Not knowing about this new found friend, I took him home and never had another thought. He's easy to feed, robust and playful. So when we put together the the new 110, we combined the livestock from both previous tanks. Tangerine lived in a 30 hex with a damsel named Saphire. He was very docile. In the new tank he has had some differences with the coral beauty, which Nemo and Dory interveened in (no kidding!) and now he's over that, but has started stealing food from a sebae
anemone. I worry about this beacause he has grown some nice little chompers on his bottom lip. Anyhow, I did some searching and found the closest lookalikes to be an Arc Eyed Hawkfish, but Tangerine lacks the markings around the eye and the white stripe. He also kinda looks like a miniature grouper, but not really. I would appreciate any input
btw, this guy grabs whole cubes of frozen formula 2 (which are as big as his head) and takes them in the back of the reef and feasts by himself not to be seen for fifteen minutes, how rude!
