I.D please

hi can anyone tell me what the below is please brough some live rock and it has this all over it its almost burgandy in colour and looks like parsley lol good or bad if bad how do i get rid of it, the photo shows a piece a plucked from the rock

It seems type of Macro or sponge (maybe). Will see if I can Id and find scientific name.

do you have a better pic as i cant see on this old laptop ,, but from what i can make out it looks like a star polyps or cyno when i get on main pc i will look it up for you as i will be able to see in more then 16 colours lol

lol ok thanks best pic i can get sorry its just like parsley,not flat leaf parsley the other sort thats like a flower lol to touch is fairly hard almost like a flower dont think its cyno have looked and read about this and cannot find nothing similar thanks for looking tho

Couldn't find it on xtal at all. Not much clue what it could be. Probably some type of macro algae

First pic looked like some sort of Macro but new pics seem to suggest sort of encrusting sponges or tuicate or even squirts? Google for images and see if can match and ID. Possibilities of unknown encrusting coralline algae if carcacerous?
