I am currently trying to set up a SW nano and am just in the process of cycling the tank and curing the live rock. I did my 1st reading on the tank today so its still very much work in progress ammonia 0 nitrite 1 nitrate 10 PH8 salinity 1.025 temp 76degs

One of my pieces of LR has a couple of Polyp like things starting to grow on it these are the best pics I could get of them

I also have what looks like hair algae do I need to clean this off the rock?

I don't think you should clean it off the rock 'cause i think it comes naturally but i am like 50% sure so you should trying cleaning the rock gently but if it does come off then just leave the rock alone
