I circled the 3 that are visible from this angle, there are more on the top. They look like they are almost slug-like, but they dont move, they just sit there. the smallest one is about 3 mms long and the longest looks like its about 3 cms long. any clue what these things are?

um they dont look very spongelike, but anything is possible in SW lol. it would explain why they dont move, and they seem to be sprouting out of the rock. very odd little things!

poke it with a stick and find out. maybe take one out and disect it if you can to see what it is

Not sure I'd go that route. Instead of having something that you can't identify, you'd have something cut up and dead that you can't identify.

yeah um, dissecting the little squishy thing will make it a dissected squishy thing, which will still to me be unidentifyable lol I dont want to poke it, because if its something i want to keep, i dont want to stress it. lol i just want to know if anyone recognizes it
