Algae Maybe?

Greetings!

I've had a green lettuce looking thing growing behind some of button polyps that I'm curious about:

...my yellow tang usually scarfs anything green in the tank; but, he's not had any interest in this. Any ideas?

Yup. I think so too. Halimeda, "cactus algae", is calcerous algae which were not touched by most tangs, foxface at least from my experiences. One thing i learned about this Macro is that they dont tolerate to much prunning when compared to Caulerpa. Let them grow into nice batch before tempting prunning that is if you are.

Hmmm must have snuck in on something you put in your tank, but I was gonna say that it looked like Halimeda to me too

I appreciate the information. It's always nice to see surprises like this. I like the color and it's been growing calmly and without annoying anyone. I'll keep it for sure.
