can you guys help out here? i have this algae or something on my live rock.. my regal tangs dont eat it so im guessing its not good. none of the snails eat it either..

its not all over the place just in a few places..

I am assuming it is a type of brown algae,increasing the lighting will help eliminate it.If I am wrong,it may be a form of red algae (brush algae,beard algae) often looks grey under water.(harder to eliminate) I haven't had much experience with red algae,or problems with it,but I will see what I can't find out.
