ID this
I have several things growing on the rock that came with my starburst polyps that I do not recognize. It is white and puffy...looks kind of like the end of a Q-tip, with a funnel shaped opening coming off of it. I've attached a picture...not the greatest quality as this camera kind of sucks for tank pics. The thing in question is more or less dead center, just under the mass of polyps (I know they look kind of bleached in this pic...believe me they aren't. Bad pic quality again.)
Anyone recognize?

Im not a saltie, but it looks like Xenia in the picture. I might very well be wrong on this... but if it is Xenia, its a soft coral that is fluid filled. Its damaged easily and also spreads quickly.

Unfortunately, no. If I try to zoom any closer inside the tank the focus goes to blazes.

No. That's another xenia. This looks nothing like xenia. Picture the end of a Qtip, triple it in size, and that is more or less what it looks like.

Ok, in the reflection on the left picture, we are talking about that white blob thing on the tip, right?

I think I found it... it can be one of either 2 things...
Sea Squirts/tunicates or a sponge.

Also, I just created a saltwater ID help board. I'm moving this topic there.
