I have a fish that came from the give-away/rehoming tank at LFS. I thought it was a swordtail female but have decided now its fully grown that its a hybrid.

sadly she seems hated by both sides, the male sword and male platy both attack her, at times quite nastily. Its definitely not breeding aggression or foreplay.

have now moved her in with some guppies as she was hiding all the time

Is this usual with hybrid fish? or are most accepted by each side?

I really don't know, because I've never had a hybrid. but I'll bump your post so other members can find it faster.

Hybrid livebearers tend to be stunted and weak, and a weak fish is a danger to the school it swims in, so schools will often drive them away. That may be what's happening here. If the guppies allow her to swim with them, I say let her be there.
