Hybrid Corydoras

I have some Corydoras panda X C. paleatus hybrids. They're really adorable and have neat personalities.

Click the image to open in full size.

The one on the left is the father (a panda), the one on the right in the cave is the mother (a peppered), and the one in the center is the offspring of the two. I've got two of the hybrids.

Sorry about the algae... I've been working on getting that under control. I had my aquarium too close to the sunlight for too long, though I recently fixed that. I'm working on getting a 55 gallon aquarium so I can have larger school of catfish.

Does anybody else have any hybrid corydoras? Share your pictures!

WOW!!

did you breed them yourself? or did you purchase them. No, I sadly do not have any hybrid corydoras... but i think I have something that crossed.

My female Tuxedo Platy and my Male Sunburst Mickey mouse platy crossed and I have found fry. Can't wait to see what they look like when they grow up.

I bred them myself. It's actually pretty easy to breed corydoras if you know just what to do. I had the peppered in there for a while, and my other peppered that I has planning on breeding with her over the winter died along with my other panda (my little sister accidentally boiled them, lol). I was left with my female peppered and my male panda. They both have some of the best personalities I've seen in corydoras, and they're two of the hardiest fish I've kept (they survived with a four-year-old "helping" me with my fish). So I figured that breeding the two might lead to interesting and beautiful offspring. And, well, it did.

Ooooh, Platies are cool fish. That cross must be awesome. Show is some pictures if you can.

Now your story is exactly the reason why whenever we have younger kids @ our place and they're in my room looking at my fish in awe, then turn to me and begin to speak, my auto-response is "Nope"

I have bred Corydoras in the past, but the male was sterile in other words he didn't produce sperm. Their eggs were always white and/or eaten.

Definately I will post some pics as soon as they are visible to the camera! I've nicknamed one "Whoops" and the other "Oopsy" cause they weren't supposed to happen!
