Shawnie how gorgeous and even before they are completely well. I have been looking for some jelly beans but all I can find have been dyed and I don't want that. If you decide to get rid of any please let me know. I would be glad to pay shipping. I have some Kordon bags too if that would help. I have a 75 gal with their name on it cycled and ready. I think I may be following in your footsteps...tanks in the garage waiting to be setup and trying to decide where to put them and what to put in them. Hee hee glad it is not just me.

Just keep us posted on their health. They will just have to do better for you with clean water and all the right conditions. I wish you and the new babies the best of luck!!

So sad you weren't able teach your friend the simple lessons about fish keeping I'm sure she wanted to keep such a big investment of fish. Were you also able to get the tank as well? Looks like quite a catch and for being stressed they look pretty nice.
Your much kinder then I am, I can barely take care of the fish I have and I'm retired. Everyone I have seen involved in animal rescue have their hands full.

Shawnie, I'll definetly take one of them Just let me know when you are sure they are in good health and you are ready to send it. Since you can't sex them, I guess just pick out a cutie and save it for me BTW, I am tearing down my African tank on the 27th when I move. Would around then be a good time to ship the Africans to you? If you need to wait longer, I can just put them in a QT tank until you are ready. Just lemme know. BTW, I am not upgrading my tank size like I originally thought, so I am re-homing all three of my red zebras. I know that at least one is a girl cause she is holding right now

Now if you were just to insulate those walls a bit, put electrics on an RCD unit all your space problems would be solved. Its a crime for nice tanks like those to sit round empty.

Oh have I caught Shawnie's Enabling bug there?

Shawnie, the fish look great this morning. I am sure they are so much happier now that they are with you What in the world are you going to do with all of those convict fry? You certainly have your hands full lady Will your LFS take some of the baby cons off of your hands or can you sell them on craigslist? See what you really need at this point is a heated pond that you can just dump all of your extra fish into

nope definitely cannot put tanks in the with motorcycles. My hubby would draw the line there. We ride all over and even in the rain sometimes but he would hate all that moisture on his bike.

Sounds way too familiar. If we end up riding in the rain (that is never my choice by the way mother nature usually does that to us) he is out there after riding just cleaning to get every speck off.

sad to report, that I cannot ship these funny, adorable babies to anyone...I shipped one to my sister and he didnt make it...they are sensitive I guess and the stress is too much for them...they are very peaceful fish also..unlike their half breed of a con ....but anyone that might live close that wanted one, id be more than happy to share...I just know most of you dont and didnt want you to hang on to the hopes I could ship them im sorry but I would in a heartbeat if I thought they wouldnt be harmed

hi kate!!!!! im sorry too as i know you wanted one but i cant risk them...if you ever want to take a trip to new england tho, they can come home with you in a heartbeat!

i actually have 2 in a tank alone...3 in my 75 gal with my br's and i gave 2 away to a pick up today ....my male cons are in with my africans and doing fine ..my female cons are adapting to no more babies and the new jellys that are sharing the pad now lol

Oh don't worry Shawnie, I totally understand I wouldn't want to risk it either. I'm glad that you have found a way to work them into your setups. The BRP's sounds like they would be good tankmates for them and so do the female cons. I'm just glad that everything worked out for you.
