I was in Petcetera the other day and they had only two of these fish in a tank. They were tiny cichlids and I'm sure that they had to be hybrids. They both had the convict strips. But they had a really sloping nose like a (fire mouth?) One had a bunch of orange on their dorsal. They were really cute, I wished I'd had a tank I could have brought them home to QT in

I think when they are little they are the cutest..Sometimes they can look like exact replicas of their parents only smaller..It's adorable!!...I like them all and that's why I can't decide which one to get.

Did they look like they were convicts crossed with BRP's? I have seen a lot of hybrid fish that are BRP's crossed with JD's, Convicts, etc.

Could they have been cutteri cichlids?

I don't mean to hijack but I sure would like to see what a BRP crossed wtih a JD looks like. I love both my BRPs and my JDs but cannot imagine what the combo would look like!!!!
