I am interested in glofish. Who has them, how long have you had them and how are they doing?

I have them ...started a tank in september...and they are great! ...they do go thru a pecking order but otherwise, fun colorful fish

Thanks Shawnie...I was looking at them yesterday in the LFS and I really liked them. I'm glad you're able to give them a good report.

My friend got some about a year ago. She lost all but one, then lost the other one she got afterwards.

The one she had left has since moved into my 10 gallon- and he/she is doing wonderfully a year later. The two I got around the same time passed on as well, but most my fish did at that point.

S/he is in with other leopard and zebra danios, both longfinned and normal. She is a little left out sometimes, but she's also bigger then a couple of the others.

I want glofish but there for some reason illegal in Canada... Aren't glofish the same as danios only it has a mixture of jelly fish and coral DNA?

Are they? I saw some "flourescent red zebra danio" for sale at my LFS.

At the moment the only place they are legal is in the US but not including Calif where they are still illegal and the bold bit is why.
