Add a YouTube Video to My Profile Page
Go into the "Edit Your Details" page: Edit Your Details
and put the following values into the 3 fields:
1. YouTube ID - this is the last part of the link in your internet browser's address box, look for the v= and copy the code after it - "v=exbam38wrkc", copy the "exbam38wrkc" part and put that into the YouTube ID field
2. YouTube Title - put in a title for the video
3. YouTube Autoplay - If you want it to start playing when your profile page is loaded, put "&autoplay=1" into this field, otherwise you can leave this field empty.

Im having trouble loading a youtube video onto my profile page. I followed the instructions.. copied the code after the v= and yet it doesnt come up on the page, just shows the title...
any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

It took me four trys because the video I was trying to use, no longer existed on youtube...is that that message you have on your page after you load the video kate?

No.. what happens is after I upload the code, an then click save changes, I go to my profile page and the only thing showing in the youtube box is the title of the song that I had typed in. But no video at all..
does it take awhile before the video is uploaded to our profile page? Or does it show up right after we add it?

I tried another version of the song I want to add, and the same thing happens.
Nothing shows up in the youtube video box.

it shows up immediately.. when you open the vid, and its playing, click on the more info buttom to open up the html code...then just copy after the v= and nothing else...do not include the v= tho

thanks for the help, my problem was adding the v= to the page. 
Yep, the first video was from Alicia Keys and I guess she disables the embedded code, probably for copyright reasons. So I found another version and added it. Not as powerful a message as the original video I wanted.. but great just the same IMO lol.... 
Now... on to a background photo hehe....  |

I had one that youtube wouldn't let me display (said it was no longer available) too and just got a different link.
Actually it was the same video you're trying to link to. U2 - vertigo, awesome song.
