You can set this up for all of your posts via the "My Settings" link. Once inside your "My Settings" area, scroll down until you see "Edit Options" on the left. Click that and then scroll down again until you see this section:
Select the option "instant email notification" or daily or weekly email notifications.
This will send an email and add the thread to your list of "Subscribed Threads" which is just a fancy way of calling the posts you've posted in and are interested in monitoring replies.
You can also keep this option turned off in the settings area and do it for individual threads when posting. It's in the Additional options area under the post box.
You can get to the "subscribed threads" on the menu under "My Settings":
I'll also add a link to subscribed threads in the secondary menu with the "new replies" and such.
Once inside the subscribed threads area, you can sort by "last post date" to view replies to your posts by date.
