Need a Heater

I have a five gallon tank with a betta in it. I hadn't put a lot of effort into finding a heater because my dorm is so hot. It doesn't have air conditioning and even with the vents on my heater closed im sweating. I want to open the windows to cool down my room but it gets pretty cold and I don't want him to get cold. My 20 gal came with a heater so its fine.
I'm having trouble finding a heater for a five gallon. The pet store I go to only carries heaters for tanks down to 10 gallons. Is this too much for a 5 gal? I'm willing to order one online if I can find a better one.
Thanks!

Hi
I use a 50 watt visi-therm stealth heater in my 5g's. You might be able to get away with a 25W.
It does a good job. The cheapest I've seen them is at petmountain, there's alink to it at the top of the page.

A 25-watt heater would be best for your setup since you don't need that much of a raise in temperature. My personal favorite brand is Marineland's Stealth heaters. They're reliable, unbreakable, efficient, and easy to hide.

A 50-watt heater (for 10-gallons) is okay as well, since heaters maintain a temperature, they automatically shut off once they reach the desired temperature.

Other good choices for heaters:

-Tetra Pre Set 50W
-Ebo-Jager Submersible Heaters
-Hagen Elite 25W

Thanks a lot! I appreciate the help. Since my 20 gal came with a heater I wasn't really sure what I was looking for.

I have the Marineland's 25-watt stealth heater. I have had this heater for over a year and its wonderful to my 5.5 gallon betta tank. It keeps the tank at a constant 79 degrees and I have never had any problems with it.
