Hello.
As I have said on some of my posts that I have a large angel, two lavender gouramis, one blue gourami and a small severum. The only bad thing now is that my heater unexpectedly heated up my water up to 40ºC which I believe is 100ºF. And then after that almost ALL of my fishes died

the last one to die were my angelfishes and now I've lost my 3 year old angelfish T_T. And the only fishes I have left are my two plecos, and my baby fire mouth cichlid T_T I don't know how my heater did that. So then now I leave the tank lid open, and let the heat escape from the tank and then the next day I came back to my tank from work and now the temperature has gone down to 84ºF again. So now I am content that my water temp is back to normal. Is there anything that I can do to prevent this later on in the future?
