2 Gallon Tank: heater use....

Hello Everyone!

I am using a "mini" heater in my 2 gal tank. There are no knobs on this heater to adjust the temp. I keep the tank around 76-78 degrees F and I do this by turning off the heater during the day (when the tank light is on) and turning the heater on over night (when the tank light is off).

Does anyone know or have an opinion about putting this heater on a timer? Would that be a good idea or harmful to the heater? There have been times when I either forget to turn off or turn on the heater......

Hello. As long as you can maintain a steady temperature through out the day, I would suggest a timer for the thermometer.

Thanks! I just wanted someone else's input on hooking the heater up to a timer....
