I recently purchased two more Visi-Therm Stealth heaters from
DFS. I notice that the 75W I put in my 10 gal. holding/hospital tank makes a noticable 'clicking' noise when turning on. I was right next to the tank following a
water change when I heard it. I have yet to install the other heater.
I searched and was able to find some other threads about them making the clicking noise when turning on/off. I just want to make sure it's not faulty in any way. It has done a great job at keeping the temp perfect for the few days it's been in. If it may be a problem, DFS has a 60-day return on electrical equipement.
Here's a bit of what I found regarding clicking noise in a thread from another forum.....

"I have to vote for the marineland / visi-therm stealth heaters myself. Not having a light doesn't bug me much and with the name stealth I'm guessing that marineland didn't put a light on them purposly.
Oddly enough in the winter I can sometimes hear it turn on and off."

"Thanks for pointing this out Hound. If you are by the tank it makes a noticable clicking noise when it turns on."

"I can't hear it in my 20G because of my power filter and air pump, but i do hear it in my 10G. initially i thought it was my tank creaking "
