Top Fin Heater Suction Cups

Has anybody else purchased Top Fin heaters from Petsmart? I have noticed that after several months the suction cups don't suck anymore.

Anybody have any fixes for this?

Have no issues on mine yet, they about 4 months old. Could be a little build up on the cups, try a good cleaning to see if it helps.

Good thought. I've been just smooshing them back on.

I bought a Top Finn heater from petsmart as well. Have no issues with suction cups.

Only thing I have been wondering about is the white residue thats developing around all the rubber parts. Also I have it set as low as it will go just to get the temp around 77-78.

Unless rubber is falling apart, should not have a problem. Clean it and drop it in hot water then in cold water. Perhaps this will get its elasticity (maybe not the correct term)back

Along with making sure the suction cups are clean make sure the glass is algae free before applying any suction cup.

Yeah. What is that white stuff? Every single Top Fin heater that I own has that junk. I am relieved that it is not something just with my tank. Must be the rubber itself.

Do you think that we could return them for store credit and get a different brand?
