Is there an easy way to remember what size wattage you need for a tank?I will be upgrading my 10 gallon goldfish tank to a 30 gallon in the next few weeks and I need a heater for it what size should I go with?

I would go with 125 or 150 wattage heater.

I plan on using a 200W in my 30g.

The visi-therm stealth:
125W is recommended for up to 30g
150W is recommended for up to 45g
200W is recommended for up to 55g.

I agree this is a good size heater for a 30gal

Sera 200 Watt Heater covers anything between 100L (26gal) to 250L(66gal), also having one this size means you can use it again if you ever decide to upgrade again

i have a penguin biowheel 150 for my 29 gallon (not set up yet), if you ever plan on upgrading i'd go with a 200 though. its by marineland
