I'm not a heater expert, however I know that few people on here have two heaters in their tank, (one is a backup to the other), with a tank that large I don't think that a second heater would hurt. At 300 watts and 350L you`re close to the upper limit of your current heater so haveing a second should help everything out.
Someone else with more heater experience then me should be along soon to help you out.
Good luck!

P.S. I just thought of something, I don't know where in your tank you're heater is set up but if it's close to the filter or another place where the water moves alot you may be losing alot of heat to the air.
Just a thought.

I keep 2 heaters in my 55 gal. discus tank. Its nice to know you have a backup if one should fail. And that has happened to me. They're placed one at each end so all is well heated. I also have thermometers at both ends. (house gets cold in the winter, tank doesn't : )

The heater should be located away from the filter inlet and any air stones, airstones will cool the heating element rapidly, and so will the water flow from the filter. Locate it midway in the aquarium. It wouldn't hurt to have 2 or 1 higher wattage heater. A higher wattage than necessary will increase heating capacity, and able to maintain even temps quicker than a lower wattage heater.

soldieroffortune1974, that's good to know about the higher wattage. I was never sure if that was a good thing. I wasn't sure if it would turn on and off too often and burn itself out.
But it makes sense.
