I am setting up a 100 gallon tank. want to run 2 x Hydor eth inline heaters off 2 x Eheim 2217 canister filters. Not sure which would be the way to go - 2 x 200W or 2 x 300W. Which would be the most power efficient way - the 2 x 200W would cover this size tank but I guess may kick in more often?

I read on this forum that the 200W has 1/2 outlet which is easier to connect to the 2217, so thats a consideration, while the 300W is 5/8 outlet which is a bit of a hassle to connect? Any thoughts appreciated!

I'd probably go with 2 of the 200w.
