I think my heaters functioning properly, My question is really about my thermometer...I use the stick on lcd type on all my tanks and lately I have noticed they start out in the morning around 78-80 which is fine,But by the end of the day there reading 84,and I am wondering how accurate these types might be or are they reading the temp in the room it has been getting quite warm here lately!
Any suggestion are welcome

I've stuck to the thermometers that go in the tank for that very reason. They're not very expensive so you could always pick one up and test your stick on ones.

Any outside heat source (sunlight for instance) will cause them to read wrong also

Ok, I got the inside of tank type thermometer and you all were right!!The new thermometers are reading the correct temp in the tank compared to the sticky one's on the outside...what a relief
