I just bought a 50 wat heater for my 10gal.
it said up to 15 gal, so i wanted to know what i should put the temp at?

in it i have mollies, platys, tetras and a baby pleco.

id say set it at 77-78 to start off with ..dont wanna shock them ...check it in the morning and with warm weather coming, you probably wont need it long...

Wat kind of pleco? if it comman one the get 20" and wont last too long in a small tank. wat is the number if fish in ur tank?

Does it have a thermometer, or just little slash marks to set it on? If a thermometer, then put it around 78 and call it a day. The slash marks are trickyer, I would say set it in the middle one and then in like 1/2 an hour check the temp, and keep changing it up and down til the tank is 78 degreesish.

Yea, the fish in that tank can tolerate temps under 78 and 76-78 is what I'd target that tank for. I would start out setting it about 74. What brand is it?

I've not had those, so it's kind of a guessing game with each brand.. I'd try 74 for a day and see where the temp stays and from there you can make adjustments to get it just right.
