Need help on how to fix hood for hatchets

My hood has two big gaps in the back and I want to seal them before adding my hatchets. I am gettin common sailver one's so they probably wont jump much anyways but always good tobe sure> Could I just you electrical tape (black tape)? I will have it sticky side up so that they dont stick to it if they jump (lol). any other suggestions?

what i used for makeshift hoods was a large piece of cardboard that i cut to fit and then wrapped completely with saran wrap so it wouldn't get wet, and then taped it down. a little ghetto, but it's free (if you have cardboard laying around) and it works

ok. Probably cardboard and not construction paper. I'll see if I have cardboard. Any other tips anyone?

well i got 6 hatchets. I acclimated them and put 'em in. a lot of them aren't right on the suface they are a few inches below the surface. One of them is in the dead middle, sometime going closer to the bottom. He wasn't like this at the store. Is it just stress? Also I got a few bunches of anacharis to float on the top.

it's probably just stress and getting acclimated to a new tank, i'd give them a few days or a week or so to get adjusted and they should be okay

ok. Thanks. Well after studying them, i conclded that I have 5 true silver hatchets and 1 common hatchet. Ironically the common one is the biggest even though sites say that the silver can get an inch larger.
