Silvers and Marbles

I've heard that silver and marble hatchets are supposed to school together, so I bought 4 of each to make a school of 8 for my 55 gallon tank. I've had them for about a week and they haven't started schooling together yet. My silvers are all over the place together, but the marbles just sit up at the surface behind my floating plant, or sometimes in the floating plant. I'm really worried about them...shouldn't they be more active? Plus, I don't want either group to get stressed because of not having a full school and start taking their epic jumps out of the tank. Should I take one group of four back and trade to make a full school of 8 of one color or the other?

I think I read that the marble hatchets are wild caught. Give them a chance to adjust to their new home.

Adding a couple more of each might be a nice thing to do. Sometimes they feel insecure when they are fewer in number.

IMHO, of course.

They should school together... give them time.

Although like Emory said, it is also a good idea to bring at least one more of each just in case.

Ok, I'll see if the LFS still has them in stock when I go home this weekend. Thanks for the suggestions!
