LOL, how can you tell? I have problems with telling which are males and females among Harlequins. I know it has to do with the dark navy-blue cone's shape at the bottoms of their bodies, right? Males have more extended bottoms of the cones, right? Or is it females?

I don't go by what the cones, I go by the fins. The dorsal fin of the male has a little bit of color, while the females has lots of color. When they are adults, the females look more like a circle while the males are thinner. If you go by the fins of tetras, you can always ID a month(or however long it takes for the fins to get color and shape) after they are hatched. Like with b.neons, the anal fin is more of a hook on the females and the males just have a triangle shaped fin(I think, I could be mixing it up since I am really tired). But IDing by the fins is the best way to any tetra.
