Concerned with new guppy

I recently added 2 fancy male guppies to my 10 gallon tank, which already had 3 male guppies and 3 cory cats. I'm concerned about one of the new guppies though. He basically just hovers in one place in the tank (back of the tank, in the middle). I watch everyone when I feed them, and he goes toward the food a little, but doesn't seem to be eating. I see nothing physical wrong with him, he just appears a bit lethargic. The other new guppy I got with him is fine. The 4 stay together, swim around and stuff, but pretty much ignore the one that just stays off by himself. I'm just not sure what to do. I'm still keeping up with my weekly water changes (25%), but he still didn't seem to change after the last one. He does occasionally swim around a little, but then goes right back to his spot. Does anyone have any advice on this or possible know what's wrong? Thanks

Re: Concerned with new guppy

when did you add the new guppies? what are your water parameters? is he gasping at the surface or just "hovering"? guppies can take a while to accimate and settle in. hopefully its just that, but keep a close eye on him and make sure your ammonia and nitrite are zero and your nitrate below 20. keep us posted and good luck tan

Re: Concerned with new guppy

Thanks for your reply tan b., but unfortunately, the guppy passed on to fishy heaven My water has been testing fine, so I'm thinking he was sick before I got him. The others are still doing well, and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that they stay that way. But I'm keeping a close eye on them just incase

Sorry to hear that. It's funny though. Whenever I get new male guppies some just act like that for no reason.
