common guppies

i have 6 common guppies and one died and another guppy tends to pick at it

u should take it out so the guppies dont pick at it...lol...its not good to leave a dead fish in a tank

how did it die?!! well, i don't think guppies will eat it completely, u better take it out immediately before it spreads diseases. what is the ratio of males and females? how big is your tank?

i took it out before I even started this thread and i was concerned about why it was picking on it's own kind. i would never leave dead fish in a tank lol

They see it as possible food or trying to see if its still alive. Its normal to pick on their own

Guppies do like their own babies. Someone I knew had a guppy that as soon as she gave birth, she would be eating the babies as they tried to get to the top of the tank!
