Thanks everyone! Another random question...

Ok, let me know if this is possible, or if i'm completely mislead.....
Here it goes! My female tequila sunrise fancy guppy had babies and immediately we assumed the daddy of the babies was our male spotted fancy guppy. When taking a closer look at the offspring as they get bigger, we noticed they look an awful lot like a mix of the mom and our red wag platy! Is this even possible? The babies have no spots, but a black rimmed mouth and black fins, like the platy. Their bodies are an orangish red. Just curious to know if platy's are capable of successfully mating with a fancy guppy. Thanks again!!!

I think platies and guppies can't crossbreed. I think mollies and guppies can.

Thanks, it is strange, but maybe it's just coincidence. I also have great news! My female fancy guppy is all better! It turns out she is pregnant again, as while she was in her hospital tank i was finding more baby fish in the big tank. I got them separated with the other babies so they wouldn't be eaten, but the mom's scales finally started to go back to her side with a few days of medicine treatment. I'm very happy and she's eating again! Thank you all for your support! And we added two more newbies! A neon green tetra and a new pleco! He's doing a wonderful job cleaning up the house, lol. Supposedly our fish stores were getting bad rounds of pleco's when ours kept dying, so hopefully this guy will do great!

Guppy fry do not look like their parents for several weeks, I believe, so it's not terribly odd that they wouldn't look like mom and dad.
