I recently found 5 guppy fry in my tank and quickly put them into a breeding net in the same tank, all was fine for about 10 days. I checked them daily but one morning I woke up and only 3 were in the net with no sign of the other 2 lying dead at the bottom of the net.

Is it possible the 3 stronger fry ate the other 2? Should I watch for the other 3 possibly turning on each other?

Could the 2 (AWOL) fry somehow have escaped and be hiding somewhere in my well planted tank?

I've never heard of same-sized guppies eating each other. Bigger guppies WILL snack on fry, but I don't think that its possible that fry ate each other.

I think they escaped. I'm sure fry will eat each other's corpses, but not THAT quickly

Found them, removed my java moss wall and caught 1 of them...the other one was too quick, but I know its in their somewhere...hopefully I get him before one of my other fish does
