Guppy spawned! but...

It looks like my guppy spawned some youngsters today. But guess what... the only trace I find is some black and yellow stuff inside the ghost shrimp and bloated bellies of other fish...

I had a very busy schedule today, but I sensed that one of my female guppies was acting differently when I was giving them breakfast. I should have moved her to a breeding tank, but I just didn't have enough time so I just let it be.
And when I came back 12 hours later, I just see her gravid spot not as dark as before and something inside the bellies of my fish although I haven't fed them. man.. my worry came out true.

Is there any way she might spawn more within few days? because she still has some gravid spot. I'd like to securely get them this time.

Hi Kayman.

IMO and from my experience, female Gups only give birth to around 50-100 babies at one time. And the labour could only take around 3-4 hours, in my experience with a few. So I doubt there would be any left. You'd have to get her pregnant again in a few weeks or so after she gets some time to rest and heal.

Hello TheKayMan. I agree with PeaceMaker. It usually only takes a few hours for a live bearer to expel the fry. However, I'm sure they will mate again. Most smaller live bearer give birth every 28 to 40 days.
Maybe next time

I have female guppies and one had fry over a 2 day period. They can store sperm from one mating and have several batches of fry, every 28 days or so. If you put some plants, fake or real for the fry to hide in they do ok. Good Luck
