I woke up this morning to find my orange flare male guppy stuck to the filter intake. He had been on his way out for a while, and hadn't even attempted to mate for a couple of months, but he'd been a good breeder, so I left him in his breeding tank with the girls to let him live out his life. On the bright side, I still have a few of his sons in the growout tank, one of whom has developed in to a near perfect copy of his dad, but he's bright yellow rather than orange, so today he can become a permanent member of my Guppy family, and take his fathers place in the breeding program. It's nice to see my fishes bloodline continuing even after they're gone.
