| I have guppies with 1 male to at least 3 females, or the males will harass the females to death. |

| I'm not sure if guppies are different than bettas on this point, but I've seen it strongly dis-recommended to breed related guppies because the fry are likely to have spinal defects. But I'm not an expert or anything... |

But I'm not an expert or anything... | Just like every animal, they need new blood periodically or they will develop deformities. I think I've heard that it should be no more than seven generations without new additions. |

| i agree, karen, if you want to be able to choose THE best ones out of your batch, then you need to grow them all, so either you get a net or grow out tank. I preffer nets
also, if you breed siblings, not sure though, it will weaken the fish trmendously, but creates BEAUTIFULL fish
im so excited!lol |

| That's why I reccomended getting 2 pairs if she could tony. You can put up a tank divider and have a pair on one side and a pair on the other side then you can mix a few of the fish side to side everyonce and a while |

| Well shoot! I got outbid! I'll watch the auction until the end and see how high it goes...I haven't decided how much my highest bid should be....The appealing part of this auction is he lives right by me so no shipping would be involved.... |

You could, however, contact the seller and see if he sells locally through a pet store or at an aquarium club. |
