Yep I had a weak moment

Well, I just bought 2 trios of guppies!! Me....Guppies any way it is a trio of red fantail with metalic blue on the sides and a trio of all blue!!. Going to keep them in the community tank for some action....but there goes someones breeding attempts out the window.

And of course....no pics yet!!! Adapting them with the drip method from her tank to my SA tank!!

Saw them on aquabid and realized the lady lives just up the road a bit from me, so we worked a deal for me to meet her and pick them up.

Yep thats what I said ....guppies (I haven't been a guppy fan for years)...but they are cute, and pretty...I'm starting to like them

lolol...and new fish new rules...give them a couple days for max colors!!! Took 6 hours of drip to acclimate them down to my soft acid water. They are eating and color is looking good. Very young fish but will be good lookers!!...PIC's coming soon....

Congrats on the newly added Guppies Ted! Take your time on the pictures as you mentioned. I won't push you to post them so soon. I know how forceful some of our members are about photos! As long as you post them by tomorrow everything will be fine! (just teasing you)
Have fun and enjoy!

I love guppies too. I have ten of them. I think my favorite ones are split tail guppies. Except for my one fancy tail guppy. He is kind of a metalic blue green color. Very cool never seen that before in a fish. I just hope my beta continues to leave him alone...now that he showed him whose boss. Here's to hoping his tail grows back.

Sorry guys....that post was sept., currently I have no guppy's. They always die well for me. I should have gotten one big pregnant female!! the babies always live if born in my tank...adults never survive!!....never could figure that one out....something to do with the water...and that is all standard except for low pH.

I had hundreds, a couple of years ago...I started them in my Koi pond....picked the best to winter over in a tank....in 2 years I had so many a few had to go visit the mulch pile!!

But have never, ever been able to buy some directly for my tanks... and have adults survive!!
