need help NOW tail-less fry

I found 3 surviving fry from one of my females. I pulled them out from the main tank and put them in the breeder's net with the other fry. My guess is they are around a day and half old because they are tiny compared to my other fry. Just now, i noticed that one of them is missing it's tail
He isnt swimming and is at the bottom. He is the one i pulled out from the bottom of the tank behind a rock. He was the easiest to catch. The new fry are arange in color, while this one is gray, and very lethargic. Should i cull?

i dont want him to suffer...
please help me.
thank you

ohh darn tony thats an awful sad situation. If it was me, I would just let it be. I know the ways of culling have to be hard also on the fish, although its quick. I have had many fry, as you know, I would have to say that I would leave it, and let it pass in as normal a way possible. But then remove it quickly. Though others may disagree, thats my offering thoughts. Hopefully you will find what you need and do what you feel is right. Im sorry you're needing to make that decision

thanks mare. I usually just let the "fittest" survive. I let nature take its course, though i wasnt quick enough to take them out of the main tank and my guess is that they went after them. I will keep a close eye on him, thanks mare

its the first time i go through this, but not deaths. My first batch of guppies was a year ago. I had 5 babies, and only 3 made it. I found out taht its normal for siblings to pass if they are not strong, but i feel that this was my fault, because i didnt wake up early like i do everyday, and only noticed the fry while doing some maintanace. I know its not my fault, but its still upsetting
Hopefully he makes it.

i will let you know if anything changes.

Hi Tony, dont be too hard on yourself. Nature has a way of handling these things. I can tell you care a lot for your fish!!!! Hopefully it will work out ok. Good Luck.

thanks shawnie. Indeed i have
at first i thought it was my water, i tested it and all was great, but i did a WC just incase. Then i lost dad. He wasnt doing so well so i let him be. Then i got back and he was gone. Then i thought of pH. I tested and it was the same. I dont know what could have happened. I am guessing that my DG beaet him up. He's been spending to much time near the fry tank, and whenever anyone gets near the fry net, he chases them away. then i lost the little one. I was expecting him to pass, since he wasnt doing well... ahhh at moments like these i just feel like quittin, thank god i have a sign over my tank that says "Happy Fishkeeping"
it keeps me going

The only luck ive had is with clayton, and he wants to eat me!

Bless you heart, Tony! I'm so sorry you're having trouble. Big hugs from GA. We're here for you and don't blame yourself. Nature is nature and regardless, we can't control her. You're an excellent fishkeeper and don't you forget that.

Oh, I just read this thread and I'm so sorry Tony. That's all just heartbreaking. What a rough day for you. I don't know what I can say to make it better, but I'm sorry you lost your gups like this. Maybe let Clayton love nip ya... just to remind you of the good/funny parts of being a fish parent.

thanks lorabell. They are doing pretty well now. I fed them a couple minutes ago for the third time today, and they all eat, so its a good sign. The little rescued ones have probably doubled in size, and like the rest of them, have developed HUGE bellies

I think i know why karen's (MM) babies are so fat haha
Its hard not to feed these cuties
