When do I show show my colors?

About 2 months ago, Mom gave birth and then died. She left us with 5 guppies all alone in a 6.5 gallon tank. At the moment, they are all white. At some point do the colors start to come out or does this mean they are all female? If I get a male, will more guppies be produced or is that violating some commandment.

They'll show color when they're 3-4 months old.

Not entirely sure about guppies, but I know that most fish do not have as much of a problem with inbreeding. Because so many are born in a birthing, there is a greater genetic variety, even within one family.

Actually they should be showing some color by now and should be sexable. Yes they will interbreed and are able at about a month What color was mom and dad?

I agree, they should be showing colors, at least on their tails. they should be able to be sexed at a couple weekk of age. I didn't know that about the inbreeding that young-good to know!
