I posted a few days ago about having my first pregnant female guppy. Now, I'm new to keeping guppies, however tonight I noticed my pregnant guppy making what seems to be a bubble nest.
My male betta has made bubble nests - is it odd that a female guppy would do this? Is it even a bubble nest or do female guppies do something similar? Does this mean she's getting close to dropping fry??

Do you have a pic that you could post? I've never heard of a gup doing that.

I've never heard of a guppy doing that, do you think she saw your betta doing it and though "hmm that looks fun, i want to try"

i doubt they would you sure you saw her blow all the bubbleS? check for another source.
If its her for sure send a picture let us all be amazed

I have a comet goldfish that I rescued from my girlfriend's roommate's vase (terrible I know) and threw him into my empty 20 gallon. I've also noticed a strange bubble nest. Could it be something in the tank that causes the bubbles?
