Sad day in planted guppy tank

Well I the "moma" guppy that I have had for what seems like forever passed away this morning.* She as most guppies has been pregnant many times and was having babies last night.* I knew that she had never been this big before and I was concerned that this might happen.* She was not a young fish she was one of the first 5 or 6 that I started with.* Fancy guppy yes but not an expensive show fish.* I know she had a very happy home and was well taken care of but she will be missed.* RIP "moma guppy".* I have to get on my profile I know and list all my tank info ASAP but for this tank it is a 55g, pH 7.5, 0, 0, and 5 all good.* It is a fully planted guppy tank and so the babies have plenty of places to hide and the mothers for that matter so they can have some peace when they need it.*

I'm sorry you lost your guppy . Most livebearers die when they give birth. I would name one of the babies after her to remember her. But at least she's happy in heaven.

I have had this happen before I guess that is why I got so worried that she was sooo big. I have had this happen to mollies before along with guppies. She was pretty and always first in line for dinner. And about the babies....I cannot count how many there are...they are extremely tiny and I would not doubt there were 50 or more of them. Thanks everybody.

Yes they are hiding in all the plants and in the driftwood. We have been having babies in this tank for a long time and I finally quit trying to catch and save them all. I just planted the tank very heavily so they have lots of plants and roots to hide in. Anybody close need any guppies just let me know.
