Lonely guppy?

I have just one guppy left after the other one was eaten by a tetra. I have him in a 1-2 gallon container inside the main tank where he has been for the last week or so. He seems very happy in there. When i took him out he swam straight to the back corner in the tank and stayed there untill i caught him and put back in the container. Should i get more guppies to keep him company?

Thanks
Jack

Is it a male or female?
Guppies are a schooling fish, and when you have 4-6 of them, they tend to stay together and be happier as a group.

Also, if it is a male, I would get one more male, and four females. This way he won't get picked on by the other male. Be careful though, you will have guppy babies with this route.

I have 2 males and 4 females, and they are quite the happy family!

I don't think guppys are technically a schooling fish, but I agree a few of his own kind might make him feel better.
If there's something large enough in your tank to eat him, he could be scared.
