I'm working on setting up the guppy fry tank, and was wondering:

Will the caridina sp. shrimp eat the fry? I know that they're normally algae eaters, but I also know that they will also eat meat-based foods, so I'm worried that they may hunt down the tiniest of the fry.

Cardinia species shrimp can not fit a guppy fry in their mouths, and would only be able to devour the dead body of one.
We have cherry shrimp in over half of our tanks due to net-riding shrimp .

Sweet! That's what I was hoping, but I was worried because some crustaceans will hunt things they can't fit in their mouths and then pick them apart after they were dead.

Crayfish are more prone to do that that the inverts we call shrimp.
