Last night I noticed Princess just hanging around the bottom of the tank,I watched her closely for hours... I think she was dropping fry (or trying to)She seemed to be having trouble,I could see something coming out it looked like a little bubble,I assumed it was a fry,when I got up this morning she was stuck to the filter intake dead And still pregnant.
She had had two small batches of fry before no problems that I noticed...Anyone ever had this happen before?
My water was just tested the other day and every thing's good,all other fish seem to be fine,including the new ghost shrimp

i agree with all the above posts, i breed swordtails and guppies alot. sometimes these things do happen, sorry for your loss.

I believe she did have complications. I had a female who was large, and she tried for almost 3 days to deliver, but died after finally delivering only 8 fry.
