My guppies like to pick on my Platy... I don't think that they are hurting him, but it is like they are always trying to "heard" him in the direction they want him to go.

Is this normal? The platy is about twice as big as the guppies and he was the first one in the tank...

The guppies will probably not "hurt" a platy, but it is stressful and the platy would be more happy with more of his own kind.

Yea, I think a couple more male platys would even things out more. But you'd need a bigger tank, as that 5g is overstocked. If the algae eater is a common pleco it's EXTREMELY overstocked and any pleco would not be suitable for a tank that small. They put out so much waste and experience painful stunted growth in small tanks.

I haven't been able to figure out what the aleae eater is yet, but I know he is not a pleco. New plan...when my 30 gal is cycled I will move the platy over and get it a couple of friends. I will have to re-think my stocking plan, but that is okay.
