I take care of mine like COBettaCouple, I just leave them in their own tank. I have shells, rocks, coral, and LOTS of Java Moss in my tank. I don't have guppies, but this tank has mollys and platties...every fish is different in the # of fry per birthing....Right now I have about 20 platty fry (which are really small compaired to the mollys), and about the same # of mollys.
One thing to remember in this method, you have to put something over the intake for your filter, and when you do water changes (should change some every day to keep nitrates and hormones down) you have to put a fine mesh bag over the syphon to keep from sucking up fry.... The more water changes, the faster and healthier the fry will grow....
My adults don't bother the babies any more, seems they don't see them as food, but the babies do still hide out in the moss....
