I've been lurking here for a while now and thought I'd share my good news... one of our female guppies dropped 15 fry, and 11 lived! They are 8 days old and soooo cute! We removed all of them to a nursery tank and put Mom back in the community tank, but she caught a fungus and passed on. So sad, but at least we have her babies.
The "other wife" dropped her fry 2 weeks ago and we didn't realize it til mid-way thru the feast, the gold tetras made short work of them. We didn't manage to save any.
Someone dropped at least 2 more babies yesterday... probably the white molly, since she's much thinner now. Don't see any more, so I guess they went to the buffet also.
We have 3 tanks, a 29 gal community tank with 2 female black and 1 male black molly, 2 female white mollies (their hubby died, I'll replace him Friday), 1 female and 1 male fancy guppy (will replace Dot on Friday also), 1
neon tetra, 1 balloon molly, a glow in the dark special from Wal-Mart (that is too aggressive) and a 3 inch sucker that we need to find a home for and replace. We also have a 1.5 gal nursery tank with 13 fry and a 1 gal with a blue male
betta.
Hope to learn lots more from you all!
Kathy
