agressive guppy

ok so my boyfriend was going to flush his 2 fancy guppies.... so i offered to take them. i put them in quarantine. they was fine and didn't have anything. so i put them in the tank and they was just going after the females like there was no tomorrow. and i can't give them back to my boyfriend because he will get rid of them in a horrible way. and I can't keep them right now I have 2 breeder nets one has my baby guppies in there and the other breeder net is holding my new guppies. there just way to aggressive to breed with them. they keep pecking at the necks of them much that they are red. I don't know what to do. will a pet store take them? i don't want someone else be stuck with them and the problem.

i have no clue what to do. any advise would be appreciated.

thank you ♥ashley♥

Well, I've had a few agressive tiger barbs in my fish keeping career! I always used to take them back but thats when they where still under a warrenty. I would ask you local pet store or even a petsmart for a trade for just give it to them if your that desperate!

How many female guppies do you have in the tank? With 2 males, I'd recommend 6 females, but at least 4-5. Guppy males are truly the romeos of the fish world and the less females, the worse the males are in pursuing them.

petland/aquatic adventure will accept "donated" fish, if you have one near you. I think any private shop will as well, maybe call around.

The big chains like petsmart and petco won't take them though, don't bother asking, haha.

and btw: this is one of the many reasons I keep only males. Guppies are like dogs, but for water. They're dumb, eat like pigs, fight all day, and think of nothing other than picking up chicks. haha!
