Guppy color Loss

I have a 10g tank with guppies in it. I started with 2 males and 1 female and they have always gotten along great, mostly because my female is sassy beyond belief =)) and won't let the guys hassle her and the guys are just fine with each other. My problem is that my males are losing their color on their dorsal fin. (to the best of my knowledge) the males are Blond Tux Guppies, looking very similar but no exactly the same as a Tequila Sunrise Guppies. but their tail and dorsal fins were a nice bright orange, now they are partly bright orange and the rest is fading out. Their tail fins are fine.

Anyone one else had this problem? Any suggestions as to why this is happening? Any suggestions as to what could be done to bring their color back?

Basic tank info: 10g fully cycled tank. Now contains these two color-losing males and my Fancy Guppy female and a total of 7 fry (it took these guys about 8 whole months to figure out how to procreate) =) As far as water parameters, nitrates is a lot high but I"m working on bringing it down.

If the coloration does not return to normal when the water chemistry is correct again, then I would chalk it up to being age. All of our strains of guppy except our half black males show age by fading caudal fin and eventually, within the last month or two of life usually, start getting ragged looking tails. (No, it is not finrot, it is a natural thing with all of our guppy strains to get ragged tails from age.)
